To avail yourself of the specific defense, you must be a member of a skirmish site the carries public liability insurance. Xsite airsoft fulfill all the criteria, so in line with government guidance we are offering site membership.
Site membership gives you the ability to continue to purchase RIF's and supplys you with all the backup you need for importing etc. We back up our members and have been complicite in assisting many members with matters pertinant to the law.
We are running 2 forms of membership. Full and junior. A full member must be 18 or over, a junior membership is for those between 11 and 17 years old.
Both full and junior members get a phot ID card, which will be available for collection at the Xsite shop.
A full membership allows you to purchase RIFs and you can also if you wish go onto the UKARA data base. In order to do this you have to fill out another form. Site membership doesn't automatically mean you are on the data base. The UKARA data base is the easiest way to purchase RIFs remotely and you will find some retailers will not sell to you unless you are registered on it. The data is safe, no retailer has access to the information except a check on your name, post code and membership number to verify your membership of Xsite.

In line with Home Office guidance we are only offering membership to genuine skirmishers. You must have played at the site a minimum of 3 times over a period of more than 2 months. For ease of administration and the ambiguity of the number of weeks in a month, Xsite have set the level at 9 weeks. You can play as many games as you like in the 2 month period, but must complete the minimum in more than the time. We also make a qualitative judgment of the applicant as to their suitability to be an Xsite member. If we view an individual as presently unsuitable, we will place them on a probationary period of an appropriate length then re-evaluate their suitability. Membership is not guaranteed or a given right, even if a player has attended the required number of skirmishes.
Xsite have 2 sites, 'Xsite Lane End' and 'Xsite The Orchard', you can mix and match the visits to either of the sites, all games at either site count towards your membership.
Nobody under 18 can purchase any sort of replica, realistic or not and that includes junior members. However, we can sell a RIF to the parent of a junior member. The sale has to be face to face, so no internet or telephone sales, both the parent and the junior member must be present and it's the parents decision the sale takes place, not the junior members. We are selling the RIF to the parent or guardian of the junior member for the purposes of airsoft skirmishing, the junior member must therefore satisfy the defense requirements.
Criteria for junior membership is exactly the same a s full membership.
Junior members cannot go onto the UKARA data base, so don't even bother looking at their website, downloading the forms or contacting them.
Xsite membership is £15 a year
You sign up for membership at the Xsite shop.
On your first game at the site you fill out a membership form, we hold the form in a pending file and verify every date you visit the site. On your third visit in more than two months you can sign up. At that point the membership fee is payable and we take your picture for your card. You will need ID when you sign up to verify your address and who you are.
We print the membership cards in-house, ane once printed they are available for collection from the shop. We don't post out cards having had too many go missing in the post.

The 'United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association' has put in place a data base to enable their members easier verification of genuine players, mainly for distance, or internet sales. as a site we did have several issues about the data base, but they have all thankfully been resolved and Xsite are now members of the scheme.
we will be holding a stock of UKARA forms, any player wishing to go onto the data base for distance sales, see a marshal at any game or email the site.
